On 7 March 2003, Safire moved from its former premises in West Palm Beach to 4,645 m² (50,000 sq ft) facility at Miami's Opa Locka Airport, where it plans to build a 46,450 m² (500,000 sq ft) manufacturing plant. Employment stood at 50 in August 2003 and was expected to reach 70 by the end of the year.
