AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURING & DEVELOPMENT

AMD was established in 1999 to produce and market the Zenair Zenith CH 2000 and CH2T. Its purpose-built, 2600 m² (28,000 sq ft) factory became operational in December 1999; the first US-produced CH 2000 was completed in January 2000.
In January 2001, AMD became agent for the OMF Symphony, marketing and assembling aircraft for the North American market. On 1 March 2001, AMD first flew the CH 640 kitbuilt, which draws on the CH 2000.
