Adam Aircraft Industries formed in 1998 and is developing the A500 centreline-thrust twin-engine business aircraft and the A700 twin-engined business jet derivative, which it will manufacture in a new 2,975 m² (32,000 sq ft) facility at Denver Centennial Airport Colorado. By mid-2000 the workforce numbered 12 but had risen to 72 by October 2001 and 132 by July 2002.
Having designed its own seats for the A500, Adam has begun an auxiliary business as a seat producer to the aerospace industry.
