The designs of Boris V Chernov have previously been associated with the No.1 Students' Design Bureau (SKB-1) at Samara. However, in August 1999, the Che-25 amphibian was shown at MAKS ’99, credited to Chernov’s own design office. The earlier Che-22 is now produced by Gidroplan and has also been built under licence in Vietnam, while the single-engine Che-23 has recently been completed. Other designs have been the Che-10 (1986), Che-15, Che-20 (1989) and Che-30 (1991), while Chernov was also associated with the Delta flex-wing and Albatros surface-skimmer. Work is currently in hand to design the Che-35 twin-engined flying-boat.
