WSK-Świdnik

WSK-Świdnik factory began 1951 making parts of LiM-1 (MiG-15) jet fighter, followed by 1,700 SM-1 (Mi-1) helicopters, followed by 450 derived SM-2. Design office grew, later devoted entirely to turbine-engined helicopters: since 1965 over 5,300 Mi-2 and Mi-2B; prototypes of twin-Allison Kania/Kitty Hawk; 55 W-3 Sokół; and prototype SW-4 4/5-seater with 400-hp GTD-350.
