SEABIRD AVIATION JORDAN LLC

Joint venture with King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB), known as Seabird Aviation Jordan (SAJ) and 51 per cent Australian-owned, formed in 2003 to assemble Seeker lightplane. KADDB has acquired intellectual property and world manufacturing and sales rights, plus 100 per cent of equity. Initial operations at Marka Airport are due to have been transferred to Queen Alia IAP in 2007. First deliveries - albeit from Australian production - in 2004. Production capability to reach two per month by first quarter of 2007. Dabin Group of Iraq bought a “significant portion” of KADDB's equity, releasing funds to accelerate SAJ's production build-up.
Also in 2004, Seabird Jordan acquired Middle East assembly and support rights for Jabiru J400 four-seat ultralight/lightplane, initially building a J430 demonstrator. J160 version is also marketed, both under local name of Yamamah (Bird of Peace) Y160 and Y430.
Announced in 2005, local assembly and marketing agreement for Gippsland GA200 agricultural sprayer and at Dubai Air Show in November 2005 announced VN 1100 version of FH-1100 FHoenix light helicopter as currently promoted in US. By mid-2006, both had been removed from SAJ's portfolio.
