PARAVAR PARS COMPANY

Company began designing light aircraft in 1992 and first product was P-72 Nasim two-seat, all-composites sailplane, which also designated AVA-101 by AII. Became first Iranian company to obtain a sailplane type certification and first in aerospace with product organisation approval; currently (2005) preparing for design organisation approval. Designed and flew (April 2000) Saba motor glider and also produces other ultralight aircraft under licence:
• Salar: Flex-wing trike, comprising wing built under licence from General Aircraft Company of Ukraine and tandem-seat pod licensed by Aquilair of France.
• Pelican Sport 450: High-wing ultralight; to be produced in Iran as version of Ultravia Pelican of Canada.
• Gyroplane: South African Chayair Sycamore two-seat autogyro.
