HUNTING

In 1957 Hunting Percival Aircraft was renamed Hunting Aircraft, board seeing no reason to perpetuate famous name. In September 1960 controlling interest purchased by British Aircraft Corp. Cancellation of TSR.2 in 1965 meant closure of a factory, and, so that work could go to Warton, Luton (former Hunting factory) was shut, even though low-cost plant unconnected with TSR.2.
