CUNLIFFE-OWEN

Sir Hugo Cunliffe-Owen, chairman of British-American Tobacco, formed company called BAO 9 August 1937 to build Burnelli aircraft. Changed name to Cunliffe-Owen Aircraft May 1938, and at Eastleigh, Southampton, built 15-seat OA-1 (2 Perseus). Post-war W. Garrow-Fisher designed Concordia 10/12-seat transport (19 May 1947), abandoned after 2 built.
