TYPE: Four-seat kitbuilt.
PROGRAMME: Mockup first shown at Aero '99, Friedrichshafen, April 1999. Kits available from late 1999. Prototype (FWWUZ) first flew 14 June 2000 and displayed at PFA International Air Rally, Cranfield, UK, 23-25 June 2000. First customer aircraft, built by noted French light aircraft designer/manufacturer Pierre Robin, flew in mid-2001 and DGAC certification achieved 26 June 2001. PFA approval was being sought in mid-2003.
CURRENT VERSIONS: Three-seat: With 59.6 kW (79.9 hp) Rotax 912 UL or JPX 4TX75 engine; 640 kg (1,411 lb) MTOW.
Four-seat: With 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 UL-S normally aspirated engine and MT-Propeller MTV-7-A/156-122 fixed-pitch propeller; 750 kg (1,653 lb) MTOW.
Four-seat Performance: 84.6 kW (113.4 hp) Rotax 914 UL turbocharged engine and constant-speed propeller; optimised for cruise at 3,050 m (10,000 ft).
CITEC: On 29 July 2001, Dyn'Aero and Wilksch Airmotive of the UK announced a joint programme to develop the MCR4S CITEC, powered by the Wilksch WAM-120 diesel engine. Launch customer for this version was M. Serge Blanchard.
COSTS: Kit €48,100, less engine; €86,600, €91,900 or €131,700 with Rotax 912 ULS plus fixed propeller, 912 ULS plus c/s MT propeller or 914 plus c/s propeller (2003).
DESIGN FEATURES: Three/four-seat version of MCR01, having 75 per cent commonality. Dihedral 3o. Winglets introduced in 2001, and modified in 2002.

FLYING CONTROLS: Ailerons, plus two-segment flaps. Aileron max deflection -20o/+10o. Tailplane (all moving) max deflection +3.5o/-10o. Rudder deflection ±20o. Double-slotted flaps, deflections 0, 17 and 30o.
POWER PLANT: See Current Versions. Fuel in two wing tanks; standard capacity 120 litres (31.7 US gallons; 26.4 Imp gallons); optionally two 100 litre (26.4 US gallon; 22.0 Imp gallon) tanks can be fitted. In both cases, 2 litres (0.5 US gallons; 0.4 Imp gallons) is unusable.
ACCOMMODATION: Four persons, in two side-by-side pairs. Forward-hinged, two-piece canopy/windscreen, plus two fixed side windows.
EQUIPMENT: Ballistic parachute optional.
