MAX HOLSTE

M. Holste designed M.H.52 and 53 all-metal 2-seat monoplanes during Second World War, and formed Avions Max Holste 1947. M.H.152 high-wing observation/liaison aircraft (1951) led to M.H.1521 Broussard (17 November 1952), built in large numbers for French ALAT and civil customers. Reims factory next built M.H.250 Super Broussard (May 1959) which led to M.H.260 (2 x Bastan turboprops) and pressurized M.H.262, produced at Méaulte as Nord 262 after Holste was merged into Nord-Aviation. Before merger Cessna had bought large share of Holste, and on merger Reims was left private as Cessna subsidiary Reims-Aviation.
