Having worked on design of the DEA Yuma STOL lightplane in Italy, Charles Guérin returned to France to pursue development of a modified version, incorporating refinements including the option of three stages of high-lift wing. However, the company was placed in receivership on 6 December 2005; it became G1 Aviation in March 2006; promotion of the aircraft continues with the new company.
