TYPE: Business turboprop.

PROGRAMME: Announced 5 May 2003; public debut of prototype (c/n 87000/D-FTGB), then unflown, at Paris Air Show 15 June 2003; first flight scheduled for September 2003; JAA and FAA certification and first deliveries expected in second half of 2004.

COSTS: Less than US$2.1 million (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Low-wing monoplane; twin strakes under rear fuselage; sweptback fin and horn-balanced rudder; non-swept tailplane; horn-balanced elevators; trim tab in starboard elevator.

FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Dual controls (yokes) standard.

STRUCTURE: Carbon fibre composites throughout.

LANDING GEAR: Retractable tricycle type with single wheel on each unit. Nosewheel retracts rearwards, main units retract inwards.

POWER PLANT: One 634 kW (850 shp) Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-42A turboprop, flat rated at 41°C, driving a four-blade reversing Hartzell propeller. Usable fuel capacity 1,375 litres (363 US gallons; 302.5 Imp gallons).

ACCOMMODATION: Pilot and co-pilot or passenger in cockpit; four passengers in main cabin in club arrangement, with baggage area and lavatory in aft cabin separated by curtain; alternative layouts provide for one additional seat in rear cabin with reduced baggage space, or two additional seats without lavatory. Cabin door on port side aft of wing. Four cabin windows per side. Fold-out tables, individual reading lights and 110V/220V power supply for laptop computers standard. Refreshment centre optional. Accommodation is pressurised and air conditioned.

AVIONICS: Honeywell APEX EFIS integrated 'glass cockpit'.
Instrumentation: Three landscape format screens comprising pilot's and co-pilot's PFDs and central MFD with EICAS.
