TYPE: Side-by-side ultralight.
PROGRAMME: Prototype (D-MOOV) exhibited unflown at Aero '99 at Friedrichshafen in April 1999; first flight was made in December 1999. Noise tests under way in mid-2000; German certification was achieved in second quarter of 2001. Prototype was exhibited at Friedrichshafen in April 2001 with modifications including steerable nosewheel replacing original trailing-link type. In 2002 an Experimental version with empty weight of 320 kg (705 lb) and max T-O weight of 580 kg (1,278 lb) was being offered.
CUSTOMERS: Ten kits and 25 complete aircraft sold by end 2002.
COSTS: Kit €19,500; complete aircraft €49,500; both excluding taxes (2003).
DESIGN FEATURES: Low, constant-chord wing, with wingtips upturned at rear. Sweptback fin. Wing aerofoil section NACA 4414.
FLYING CONTROLS: Conventional and manual. Horn-balanced elevators and rudder; trim tab in port elevator; half-span Fowler flaps.
STRUCTURE: Mainly riveted aluminium, with glass fibre for some non-structural fairings.
LANDING GEAR: Non-retractable tricycle type with composites cantilever main gear legs and composites steerable nose leg; mainwheel size 14x4, nosewheel 4.00x4.
POWER PLANT: One 67.1 to 74.6 kW (90 to 100 hp) fuel-injected Take Off-BMW engine driving a three-blade ground-adjustable Neuform T3 propeller; other optional engines include the 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 ULS and 59.7 kW (80 hp) Jabiru 2200. Optionally a 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 ULS can be fitted. Fuel capacity 55 litres (14.5 US gallons; 12.1 Imp gallons).
