Weser company resurrected 1956 as Finanz-und-Verwaltungs Gesellschaft Weser GmbH, but renamed Weser Flugzeugbau GmbH early 1957, controlling interest bought by United Aircraft resulting in link with Sikorsky (e.g. assisted S-60). Surveyed 10 wartime plants and restored Lemwerder, Einswarden and Varel. With Hamburger and Siebelwerke built Nord 2501. Handled readiness of 390 F/RF-84F and subsequent support. Major partner in Transall. Lost identity December 1963 on merger with Focke-Wulf to form VFW.
