RMT Aviation markets the Bateleur kit, designed by its managing director, having moved to Germany from South Africa in 2001. In 2002 RMT was building a 2,500 m² (26,900 sq ft) plant in South Africa. A European facility will be located at Bremgarten aerodrome, Germany, while plans for a North American plant were then under negotiation. RMT envisages production of over 200 Bateleurs per year by 2006.
