Completely new company, HFB (Hamburger Fahrzeugbau GmbH) formed 1955 as subsidiary of Blohm und Voss, with rebuilt facilities at Finkenwerder. First work was manufacture of fuselage of Noratlas as part of Nordflug group. Subsequently member of ARGE Nord, building F-104G, with VFW in EWR Nord, partner in Transall programme, sole producer of HFB 320 bizjet (21 April 1964) and partner in F28 Fellowship. May 1969 merged with Messerschmitt-Bölkow to form MBB.
