HANSEATISCHE

Founded as Zentral für Aviatik at Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel 1911, renamed Hansa Flugzeugwerke 1913, merging 1914 with Brandenburgische. In 1916 Fuhlsbüttel factory separated to become Hanseatische Flugzeugwerke Karl Caspar AG. Built aircraft under licence, plus 1918 prototype of twin-engined cannon-armed fighter. About September 1918 bought Fokker factory at Travemünde, transferring activities there and becoming Caspar Werke 1921.
