Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen GmbH established 1913 near that city at Manzell. FF29 2-seat seaplane flown late 1913 led to over 20 related types, including FF33e (190), 33h (50), 331 (about 130) and more powerful FF49c (about 250). Other smaller types included twin-engined torpedo carriers, pushers and a few monoplanes. Most important products were probably G-series heavy bombers, especially G.III and IIIa of which some 340 built by subcontractors alone. A few civil conversions of smaller types were made in 1919.
