TYPE: Single-seat ultralight kitbuilt.

PROGRAMME: Designed by Blue Yonder for Dr Jack Barlass; prototype (C-IFWW) first flown late 1998. Aircraft and design rights later purchased from Barlass estate.

CUSTOMERS: Two flying by end 2002.

COSTS: Kit US$17,895 including engine; firewall back US$12,660 (2003).

DESIGN FEATURES: Low-wing monoplane; uses (shortened wing from Merlin and E-Z Flyer allied to new tail unit. Options include electric starter. Quoted build time 400 hours.

FLYING CONTROLS: Manual. Junkers-type ailerons.

STRUCTURE: Fabric-covered 4130 chromoly welded steel tube fuselage and fabric-covered aluminium D-cell cantilever wings.

LANDING GEAR: Tailwheel type. Hegar 46 cm (18 in) wheels and tundra tyres standard. Hydraulic brakes.

POWER PLANT: One 47.8 kW (64.1 hp) Rotax 582 UL driving two-blade, wooden propeller; design will accept engines up to 73.5 kW (98.6 hp). Fuel capacity 57 litres (15.0 US gallons; 12.5 Imp gallons).
