LOPRESTI GORDON VTOL INC
LoGo was formed in early 2001 to develop a family of VTOL aircraft platforms to meet the specific needs of military Special Forces groups, when operating in complex urban environments. The family at present comprises two such vehicles: the Guardian, designed by the late Roy LoPresti, and (in a joint venture with UrbanAero of Israel) the TurboHawk designed by Dr Rafi Yoeli. A primary design feature of both vehicles is the ability to dock with high-rise buildings and transfer people, thus widening their civil appeal for such missions as fire rescue, medevac and chemical/biological decontamination. Versions have been defined to carry up to eight people in addition to the pilot, perform amphibious operations and then depart a danger zone at speeds of up to 348 kt (644 km/h; 400 mph).
