CULVER

Culver Aircraft Co. formed from Dart Aircraft 1939, moving 1940 from Ohio to Wichita, Kansas. Single product Culver Dart GW, but designer Mooney soon produced Model L, later named Cadet (1939), production halted by war but developed into PQ-8 radio-controlled target and later PQ-14, made in large numbers. Post-war Model V flew 1946, excellent aircraft but Culver failed same year: see Superior.
