Pyetr Nikolayevich Nesterov was most famous Russian pilot pre-1914, credited with first loop. Unlike contemporaries, recognized importance of banking in turns and invented (31 August 1911) complete control system with cams to warp wing. Rebuilt Nieuport IV with this system, rudder being removed.
