DOKUCHAYEV

Moscow flight instructor Aleksandr Yakovlevich Dokuchayev built 6 aeroplanes. First, completed 1910, was biplane with pusher 50-hp Anzani, tested but possibly on ground only. No. 2 built 1912, sesquiplane version of Farman IV, 50-hp Gnome, said to have flown well. No. 3 again Farman type, but equal-span tandem trainer with 80-hp Gnome, flown late 1914. No. 4 again Farman type, sesquiplane trainer, 3 rudders, flown late 1915 on skis. No. 5 neat monoplane, much in common with LYaM, 80-hp Gnome, flown spring 1916. No. 6 reverted to Farman layout, 60-hp Gnome, flown with and without front elevator.
